I started my career within a family run business in Northern Ireland, as was instilled with the confidence to move forward and grow. For the next twenty years I worked for an international company, becoming a Trainer/Accessor then into management roles, and also spending time on the high seas working on the Queen Elizabeth II (QE2).

I moved to Australia in 2009, took ownership of Gold Creek Hair in 2012, and now opened Elysium Hair Salon in 2018. I have been fortunate to work with some of the best in the industry, and I feel as strongly about his great profession now, as when I first began.

Hairdressing has been part of my life for over thirty years, and I enjoy hairdressing as much today as I did as a young apprentice. I have developed my creative side in salons all over Australia, and this has afforded me the opportunity to work with many brilliant mentors along the way. My passion for hairdressing, along side caring for my guest’s hair concerns, has enabled me to build a wonderful and loyal client base here at Elysium Hair Salon.

Sheryn O’Connor

Senior Stylist

Sheryn has 18 years experience in all aspects of hairdressing, which includes restyling, colouring and perming. Sheryn also specialises in formal-up styling, and attention to detail is her motto. Sheryn and Cheryl have been working together for eight years now and have built a strong team culture.

Jayde Nolan-Smith

Stylist

Jayde is our newest team member and brings a younger energy to the salon. Jayde has a keen eye regarding re-colouring and is our expert with hair extensions. She is a passionate hairdresser with a meticulous eye for detail.
